CONCERT INFORMATION

WHERE IS THE MIDNIGHT OIL CONCERT BEING HELD?

The Midnight Oil concert will be held at Hope Estate, 2213 Broke Rd Pokolbin NSW 2320, in the beautiful Hunter Valley.

GENERAL ADMISSION - RESTRICTED TO VENUE BUILDING

Some of the General Admission tickets included in the Dinner Packages that Hope Estate are selling are listed as Restricted to Venue. 'Restricted to Venue' means the ticket holder will be able to enter the venue at the entry gates. They will then make their way to their Dinner Package area (Level 1, Level 2 or Ground Floor Terrace & Lawn) of the Main building. Once within this area, they won't be permitted to leave that area until the end of the concert. This is to do with the current Covid restrictions and managing the patron capacity restrictions in the external areas. Should Covid restrictions reduce, this restriction may be removed and the ticket holders will be permitted to enter the General Admission Lawn Area. From the Dinner Packages area, these ticket holders will enjoy great views of the stage, private toilets and access to a private bar for the duration of the concert.

IS THE CONCERT INDOORS?

No, Hope Estate is an open-air outdoor venue. Think outdoor stage, green grassed hill, vineyards, paddocks, gumtrees, kangaroos with a winery/brewhouse in the middle.

There is time between when the gates open and when the music starts to allow patrons leisurely access without having to queue for long periods beforehand.

WHAT TIME DOES THE CONCERT FINISH?

The concert will approximately finish at 10.00pm

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?

The concert will proceed rain or shine. Only exceptionally severe weather conditions will affect the performance, so come prepared for the conditions on the day. Remember umbrellas are not allowed inside the venue but rain ponchos are welcome. Rain ponchos will be available for purchase from the bars if the weather is poor.

 

If weather conditions are deemed dangerous for the artist to perform or put the patron’s safety is at risk, the promoter may cancel the concert.

WHAT DO I WEAR?

The amphitheatre is grass underfoot so it is advisable to wear comfortable flat shoes. Because we are at the mercy of Mother Nature it is important to dress for the weather conditions on the day. Patrons are welcome to bring a sun hat, roll on sunscreen/deodorant/insect repellent to the event. It must be no bigger than 100ml and in its original container or packaging. Free sunscreen is available at the First Aid Tent. Patrons may also like to bring a warm coat, water proof jacket or poncho for inclement weather. (Umbrellas will not be allowed).

CAN I LEAVE THE CONCERT AND COME BACK IN?

No, there are NO PASS OUTS. Once you're in, you're in.

CAN I VISIT YOUR CELLAR DOOR AT THE CONCERT?

No, in accordance with our alcohol management plan Cellar Door is closed on concert days.

Cellar Door will reopen 10am the next morning.

COVID-19

HOPE ESTATE POLICY ON COVID-19

Hope Estate is a Covid Safe Venue and will have a Covid Safety plan in action during this event. As restrictions and advice from Mass Gatherings NSW may be revised between now and March 2021, more information regarding Social Distancing, hand sanitising, the requirements to wear masks, check-ins to the venue, etc will be advised by the Promoter and/or Hope Estate closer to the event dates. If applicable, signage and additional Covid-Safety staff will be onsite to ensure the safety plan is actioned. 

 

Generally, if you are feeling unwell or have Cold or Flu symptoms, please do not attend our venue.

 

Please reference the promoter's Important COVID Information - Ticket purchases are subject to change dependent on Government COVID guidelines and regulations at the time of the event. This may require a reduction in the number of persons who may attend the event or changes to Reserved Seating allocations and General Admission (Rear Lawn) configurations.

  • Please stay home if you are unwell.

  • Make sure you check in via the events QR code prior to entering the venue. Download the Service NSW app prior to arriving. 

  • Face masks must be carried at all times. Please wear face masks in instances where you cannot socially distance.

  • Patrons can only sit in the allocated seat on their ticket. Due to increased capacity, there might be patrons occupying the seats directly next to, behind and in front of you during the event. 

  • Wash or sanitise your hands regularly. Sanitising stations will be located throughout the venue.

  • Please cough or sneeze into your elbow and be aware that you may not be admitted if you are showing COVID-19 symptoms.

  • No pass-outs available.

CHAIRS

WILL THERE BE THERE CHAIRS?

Yes, the Midnight Oil Concert on 13th March 2021 will have Reserved Audience Seating available via the ticketing agency’s website.

For General Admission, you MUST bring a standard sized camping chair (back of chair no higher than 100cm) to sit on. Please note, this policy is only in place for the Midnight Oil show on 13th March 2021 to comply with the Promoter's COVID safe plan. No rugs or low beach chairs permitted. As part of the COVID safe event plan, each general admission booking has been allocated a designated square space within the general admission lawn area. 

 

Please be aware that while these are reserved seat shows, patrons may stand during the performance.

WHAT SIZE BAG CAN I BRING?

 

Patrons are welcome to bring one small bag per person. About 20cm x 30cm at the most (about the size of an A4 page). The Venue, Security and Police have the right to search bags, as required. This includes upon entry.  Any person in possession of prohibited items may be refused entry to the site and/or items may be confiscated. Cloakroom facilities are not available at this event. We encourage patrons to bring only the things they are willing to carry for the day. If in doubt leave it at home or in the car. 

FOOD

 

CAN I BRING FOOD?

No, Hope Estate and its outdoor concert amphitheatre is a fully catered venue and there is STRICTLY NO BYO FOOD OR BEVERAGE (including water); this will be enforced by Security at entry gates. Free Water Refilling stations can be found throughout the event site. For information on locating your nearest free water station, consult one of our helpful staff on the day.

 

Hope Estate offers a number of catered hospitality packages that include food & beverage along with a ticket to the concert. Or, if you prefer something more relaxed, you can pre-purchase a picnic hamper that caters for two people complete with a bottle of wine, cold meats & salad, antipasto, cheese & dessert.

 

Additionally, local restaurants and caterers have stalls and Food Trucks onsite selling a variety of styles of food. These food stalls cater for people with special dietary requirements such as vegetarian, gluten free & vegan. If you require assistance to arrange a custom meal from a Vendor for your specific dietaries, please email event1@hopeestate.com.au and we will put you in touch with a Vendor to assist you.

DINNER PACKAGE

I’m coming to a Dinner Package, what time should I arrive?

 

Hope Estate’s dinner packages are structured to run from 4/4.30pm (sometimes earlier if advised). Food service will finish before the main act takes the stage. To ensure you get the most out of your package please ensure you arrive on time, if you arrive late you may miss some of the food service.

IS YOUR RESTAURANT OPEN ON THE DAY OF THE CONCERT?

No, Harvest is one of the Dinner & Show packages available for people attending the concert.

HAMPERS
 

COLLECTING YOUR HAMPER

Once inside the venue, please make your way to hamper collection tent next to the bars in each gated section near the stage (please see directions and map overleaf) where you will need to show a copy of your Hope Estate issued tax invoice (Hard Copy or Digital Copy). You may be required to provide ID when collecting your hamper. The name on the Hope Estate issued tax invoice must match the personal presenting the ID. RSA applies.

 

When you collect your gourmet hamper, you will be given a choice of the following:

Choose from: Sparkling Pinot Chardonnay, Hunter Valley Red, Hunter Valley White.

 

Please make your selection prior to approaching the hamper pick-up tent. Please note, bottle service is only available for the first 3 hours of the event so do ensure you arrive to collect your Hamper within the first 3 hours of Gates Opening.

 

If you have ordered gluten free or vegetarian hamper please mention this to staff at the hamper tent to ensure you receive the right hamper.

DRINKS

CAN I BRING DRINKS WITH ME?

No, Hope Estate and its outdoor concert amphitheatre is a fully licensed venue and STRICTLY NO BYO BEVERAGE (including water); this will be enforced by security at entry gates. 

 

Patrons are welcome to bring one empty clear plastic water bottle. Water refilling stations are available throughout the venue. The water bottle will need to be empty upon entry. Otherwise, bottles of water are available for purchase inside the venue.

 

Coffee vans are also onsite so you can get a caffeine hit.

 

Eskies or hard coolers are not permitted into the venue.

 

As part of our RSA Policy, Security will assess Patrons upon entry to the venue and if deemed to be intoxicated patrons will be refused entry. Police and security guards also patrol the car park to ensure patrons are not “pre-loading” before entering the concert arena.

WHAT ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE BARS?

Hope Estate will offer Wine, Beer, Cider, Pre-mixed Vodka cans, cans of Soft Drink and Bottles of Water for consumption at the concert.

WHAT ARE YOUR POLICIES ON RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOL?

Hope Estate takes the Responsible Service of Alcohol very seriously. At every concert we have Licensing Police and user-pays Police on-site, Security Guards and RSA Marshalls at every bar as well as Security Guards and RSA Marshalls roaming the venue.

Photo ID will be required to purchase and consume alcohol and service will not be provided to people under 18 years of age.

 

Bottle sales are limited to the first three hours after gates open, then a two drink per person limit is put in place. This includes bottle service to pre-ordered hampers so please ensure you arrive prior to this bottle service cut off. The bars close one hour before the concert is due to finish.

Don’t forget, you can return your wine bottles to the bar before 8pm to receive your $5 cash back!

 

Patrons will be assessed by bar staff and RSA officer upon entry to the bar areas and if deemed to be intoxicated patrons will be refused service at the bar. Police and security guards may direct staff to seek Medical attention if they seem appropriate.

While we do our best to make sure Responsible Service of Alcohol is monitored and adhered to we cannot stop individuals from over indulging or having other guests purchase drinks on their behalf.

If you are concerned about the condition or behaviour of patrons near you please alert one of the Security, Police or RSA staff. Or, you can call the Security Hotline number which is posted around the venue.

I'M A HOPE ESTATE/TOWER ESTATE/VIRGIN HILLS CLUB MEMBER, DO I GET BENEFITS AT THE BAR?

Yes, Platinum & Gold Club Members can enjoy $10 Discount on Bottles of Wine at Hope Estate concerts. Silver Club Members can enjoy $5 Discount of Bottles of Wine at Hope Estate concerts. Be sure to check in with the Member’s Ambassador on arrival to get your Member’s Wrist Band. Please note, bottles may only be available from the bar for a restricted period during the concert. CAN I TAKE HOME THE DRINKS I BOUGHT AT THE CONCERT?

No. Hope Estate is licensed premises and all alcoholic beverages must be consumed onsite only. Patrons will not be permitted to take offsite opened or unopened alcoholic beverages purchased during the event. Please feel free to drop in on Sunday to the cellar door though! More than happy to help you out then for some great take home Wine/Beer/Spirits. Visit hopeestate.com.au

IS THERE ICE AVAILABLE OR CAN I BRING MY OWN?

For White wine bottle purchases, cooler bags with free ice refills will be available from all bars to keep your drinks nice and frosty. Just ask our friendly bar staff.

 

Patrons are not allowed to bring in ice with them as it provides the opportunity for stockpiling of drinks. This is the reason why eskies and cooler bags are not allowed in the venue.

We understand that this penalises those patrons who just want to keep their drinks cold however, it is in the interest of safety and enforcing responsible service of alcohol that this policy has been put in place.

TICKETS

WHERE DO I PURCHASE TICKETS?

Only purchase tickets through Ticketmaster, or Hope Estate as they are the only authorised ticketing agents that can supply tickets for this event at Hope Estate.

If you have questions about your tickets please contact the company you purchased them from.

 

Tickets will not be emailed to purchasers until two weeks before the show date.

ARE THERE UNDER 18's TICKETS?

Every patron seeking entry to the venue, irrespective of age, must hold a valid entry ticket.

Ticket pricing is set by the Promoter. Given that Hope Estate is a large outdoor licensed venue, with very loud music, is is strongly recommended that for the safety and comfort of all patrons, we discourage the attendance of young children.  

As Hope Estate is a licensed venue, the same rules for Under 18’s apply as your local pub. Under 18’s are not allowed to approach the bars and must be under immediate supervision by a responsible adult at all times.

Prams are not permitted into the venue.

WHOOPS I DIDN'T BUY MY TICKET FROM TICKETMASTER OR HOPE ESTATE! WILL I GET IN?

Ticketmaster is the official ticket outlet for this event with Hope Estate approved to sell a limited number of tickets. Hope Estate cannot guarantee your ticket is valid if you have purchased from a third-party source.

GENERAL ADMISSION LAWN?

As there are large crowds at our event we ask all patrons in the general admission lawn area remain mindful of those around them and be space cautious when reserving areas. We want to ensure that everyone is comfortable and has a great view of the concert. Social Distancing may be a requirement at this event but more information will be released closer to the event.

 

Box office: may operate on event day if tickets do not sell out. To ensure you gain a ticket, we recommend purchasing your ticket early to avoid disappointment.

 

Large crowds are expected to this event so to avoid queuing at the venue digital tickets will be issued to each ticket holder.

KEEPING SAFE
Here in the Hunter Valley it can get hot! Add alcohol to the mix and you may find yourself dehydrate. Please remember to drink plenty of water and enjoy the culinary delights from the food stalls while attending the concerts.

ACCESSABILITY

 

WHAT DISABLED FACILITIES DO YOU HAVE?

Disabled parking is available near the main entry gate – entry is via Broke Road. To park in this area vehicles must have a valid disabled parking sticker displayed.

 

Disabled toilets will be available. The location will be determined closer to the event date.

 

Disabled seating arrangements and companion tickets are handled by the Promoter & Ticketing agency – please refer any questions to the Ticketing agency for the concert.

FIRST AID

St Johns Ambulance will be in attendance for assistance with first aid. 

POLICE & SECURITY

For your safety security guards, RSA marshals and police will be on-site. A security hotline has been set up for patrons to use and the police command station is centrally located near the main building. The patron safety line number is 0448 614 995.  

WHO IS IN CHARGE OF SECURITY?

Security guards at the gates and in the venue are appointed by the concert promoter.

Security guards at the Hope Estate functions inside the building are appointed by Hope Estate.

CASHLESS ONLY VENUE

 

In line with the new COVID-19 safety plan, the venue is now cashless. Please note, we do not accept AMEX.

DO YOU HAVE ATMs ON SITE?

No, there will be no ATMs onsite to provide cash out. If you wish to bring cash, please arrange before coming to the venue. 

CAN I SMOKE AT THE VENUE?

Yes, but only in the designated smoking areas – these areas are determined by the Promoter’s site manager.

HOW DO I GET THERE?

BUS – This is the most efficient way to come to a concert at Hope Estate. We strongly recommend that everyone catches buses which generally exit the venue in under 30 mins. A number of private coach companies offer transport from various areas.

CAR – There is free car parking available on-site at Hope Estate, this is located on greenfield areas on the property with entry via Broke Road. The car parking is managed by Traffic Attendants who are employed by the concert Promoter. Disabled parking is available close to the main entry gate to the concert arena – to park in this area vehicles must have a valid disabled parking sticker displayed. Please be aware that while car parking is free and plentiful the local roads cannot cope with the number of cars and there will be delays leaving the venue. The car park closes at midnight on the day of the event and camping overnight is prohibited. Campervans will not be permitted on site for parking.

 

WALK – some patrons may choose to walk to a concert. If you are considering walking please note:

This is a rural location and there are no designated or paved footpaths
.

There is only minimal street lighting at key intersections – otherwise it is very dark.


Entry on-foot is only via the Broke Road Entrance

ENTRY

You will need to use your digital Ticketmaster ticket to gain entry to the site. Even if you are part of a dinner package. For Hope Estate dinner packages, please bring along a hard copy or digital copy of your Hope Estate invoice as well as your Tickemaster ticket.

CAN I LINE UP EARLY?

While we understand some patrons want to be first in to get a good position, we recommend that you line up only a short time before the advertised gates open time. There are no facilities or shade outside the venue and it can get very hot while standing in the queue. The gates will not open early just because there is a long queue.

We expect that social distancing will be a requirement in the ticket line and our usual entry process may be different in 2021. Where possible please maintain 1.5m between your group and others. More information will be released closer to the event dates regarding this.

The car park opens at a designated time on concert day, please refrain from arriving early. If you arrive early you will be turned away. Opening time is advised near the concert date via the Hope Estate website or e-mailed information from the ticketing agency.

 

The car park closes at midnight on the day of the event and camping overnight is prohibited.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

PERSONS SEEKING ENTRY TO HOPE ESTATE ARE ADVISED THAT:

  • They are entering a licensed area

  • All Hope Estate employees & contractors abide by the laws & regulations of the responsible service of alcohol guidelines and harm minimalisation requirements.

  • Intoxicated persons will not be permitted to enter

  • Intoxicated persons will be removed from Hope Estate

  • Alcoholic beverages must not be taken into or from Hope Estate and are subject to immediate confiscation

  • Checking procedures will apply to prevent persons possessing liquor from entering

  • It is an offence for minors to purchase or consume alcohol

  • Persons under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by an adult to enter. Proof of age will be required at point of entry.

  • It is an offence to sell to or supply minors with alcohol

  • Persons supplying alcohol to minors will be reported to police.

  • Penalties apply under the Liquor Act 2007

There is one 3 bedroom cottage on-site – this is very popular and books out quickly.

FOR THE COMFORT, SAFETY AND ENJOYMENT OF ALL PERSONS, HOPE ESTATE ADVISE THAT:

  • Tickets are not redeemable for cash tickets are only valid for use on the date printed on ticket.

  • Meal & wine vouchers may not be used in conjunction with any other offers and are only valid for use on the date printed on ticket.

  • Hope Estate events will only be cancelled if it is dangerous for the performers and/or patrons to remain on site.

  • Persons gaining unauthorised access to any of Hope Estate’s events and specific areas may be liable for prosecution.

  • Hope Estate is not liable nor does it accept any responsibility for any loss or damage whatsoever to any person or property of the death of or injury suffered to any person or animal whilst attending an event at Hope Estate.

  • Persons entering Hope Estate agree to indemnify Hope Estate against any loss or liability, cost, expense or damages arising from or in relation to the entry either by person, vehicle or otherwise.

  • Hope Estate reserves the right to inspect and/or search bags brought into or out of Hope Estate and search all persons, their clothing and other items of such persons.

  • Persons causing a disturbance or refusing to comply with requests from Hope Estate employees and contractors will be ejected from Hope Estate.

  • Hope Estate may refuse admission to or eject persons from Hope Estate grounds at its sole discretion.

  • Persons entering Hope Estate must adhere to the NSW Occupational Health & Safety legislation.

  • Smoking is not permitted within the seated areas or enclosed spaces of Hope Estate.

  • Additional entry conditions and requirements may apply to ticketed events any ticket purchased to enable entry into any particular area of Hope Estate cannot be exchanged or returned after purchase.

  • Parking is restricted to bays as designated by Hope Estate management and hired parking attendants.

  • Vehicles must not block emergency egress doors or emergency vehicle access roads and are to give way to emergency vehicles all accidents or emergencies are to be immediately reported to hope estate staff and local authorities.

  • Persons must obey all signs, notices and directions given by hope estate management whilst at Hope Estate.

 

Note: Any variation to the policy will be at the sole discretion of Hope Estate management.

WHAT HAPPENS TO LOST PROPERTY?

Any lost property that is found by or handed to Security will be forwarded to the Hope Estate Administration staff member the day following the Event. If you have lost an item, please email info@hopestate.com.au with your contact details and a discription of the Lost Item. (Please note, if you have lost a phone, please provide the phone number for that phone as well as a phone number we can contact you on). Postage of Lost property items is at the expense of the patron.
