You’ve tried their Wine. You’ve tried their Beer. Now, you can try Gin, Vodka and Moonshine at Hope Estate with the launch of Hope Distillery. Michael Hope continues to innovate and surprise over at Hope Estate. Starting out as a Winery, then commencing Music Concerts with capacity crowds of over 20,000 patrons attending at times, he was frustrated by the mainstream beer brands and so started Hope Brewery in 2014. He wanted to offer Australian made, craft beer for his Concerts that was fresh and delicious, and didn’t cost a patron an arm and a leg. In 2016 the brewery won Best Small Brewery in Australia and has continued to build acclaim with over 40 beers and ciders to choose from. The Hope Distillery idea came from a similar place. In 2019, Michael attempted negotiations with some of the main stream spirit brands for his FKA Festival. Without any success, he trialled a small batch of Vodka Raspberry Mixer and a Vodka, Lime and Soda Mixer in cans which were a hit with the festival patrons and his club members alike.

From the October Long weekend, Hope Estate will be offering the Hope Distillery Range. Guests attending the new look Cellar Door can enjoy Gin Paddles with the Hope Distillery’s Pokolbin Dry, Spiced Gin, Hopped Gin and Pink Grapefruit Gin served with a matched garnish, mini bucket of ice and tonic water. For Vodka and Moonshine Fans, they can choose the Vodka and Moonshine Paddle with Hope Distillery Pot Still Vodka, Lemon Myrtle Vodka, Grapefruit Vodka and Single Malt Moonshine, served with a matched garnish, mini bucket of ice and soda water. Each paddle is available for $20 and the tasting fee is redeemable on the purchase of two, or more, bottles of Spirits.

With more products in production, new Paddles and a Cocktail list will be announced over the coming weeks. Perfect for summer and an ideal Cellar Door stop for those wishing to break up a day’s wine tasting with a refreshing taste of Artisan Spirits!
