This wine is simply a combination of intense berry fruit, generous tannins, a balanced acidity and vanillin oak from French and American barrel maturation and an overall flavour that lingers.

This is a full bodied, richer style of Merlot. A drier year produced more concentrated plummy Merlot fruit characters and tannins, aided by the maturation of the wine in older French oak hogsheads. An elegant Merlot yet with some serious weight! Drink now or put away for 8 or more years.

RIESLING
2021 MACEDON RANGES RIESLING

This Riesling is from the boulder block on the ridge of the Glenhope vineyard, that is usually blanketed in frost during its frigid winters and every so often gets coated in snow.
White gold in colour, this crisp, ultra cool climate Riesling was cold fermented in stainless steel maximising its fresh lively aromas of white nectarine and vibrant flavours of citrus fruits.
